This one was on my hit list for Whisky Live 2024 Collectors Square. It did however come at an unfortunate time, when I was enjoying a pour of Laphroaig 1974 31yo. This dram of Port Ellen came across as concentrated and simple; a lot of green apples. Definitely something worth retrying to dig deeper into the intricacies of the flavours.
Nose: motor oil and green apple
Palate: deep rich green apple, elegant peat
