This is a 1976 Port Ellen that I did at Bar Slugs 2 in Ginza, Japan. I had been looking forward to finding a 1976 Port Ellen for a while, since I had done most of the late 70s and 80s. This one is a chill bottle from Douglas Laing, under his Old Malt Cask series. Simple, delicate.
Nose: deeply grassy, industrial, honey, grapes
Palate: light honey, touch of grass, a little grape very simple
It's nice, but would I buy this bottle? Probably not.
