The Ardbeg Mizuhashi - a simple yet splendid dram. This bottle was opened in the leadup to The Malt Affair 2025 by @whiskyku on IG, and I had the good pleasure of trying this twice across two occasions thanks to @kingblues. An incredible tour de force of whisky distillation. On the nose, starts on varnish, light yellow fruits and touch of coconut. Incredible attack, full on blast of turpentine, iodine, petrol laced with lemon and touch of saltiness. Grows huge and huger now full of diesel and tarry ropes. Close to perfect. Maybe perfect. The finish is never ending and brings on all sorts of fruits. Tasted blind in 2015 among other legendary whiskies. This one stood head and shoulder above all of them.
