An all round really enjoyable white that's got great body, with good richness and plushness. What's really impressive is the terroir coming through with this almost sooty ashiness that airs over its aromas. It's led by poached orchard fruits and gooseberry compote, and alittle bit of straw, garnished with white florals. Really creamy, a touch vanillic, and even alittle candied on the palate. The acidity is present but gentle and rounded, lingering on the finish.
