This expession is certainly a departure from the jammy, high-alcohol Nero d’Avola styles that once dominated the island’s reputation. It has a lighter-bodied frame that makes it really quite approchable despite the more "heavier" flavors present within. Good acidity and mouthfeel couple with an interesting breadth of flavors (both main and secondary) that make it as delicious as it is interesting.
