An equal parts blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this is made entirely from fruit sourced from Grand Cru sites, and has been aged on the lees for at least 9 years and and 6 more months after disgorgement.
The Grand Cru Royal is definitely indicative of its long ageing, having developed this rather intense oxidative style that brings across all these umaminess and earthiness of mushrooms, bonito broth and soy sauce.
