Admittedly, without being privy of the inclusion of vegetables and carrots in this shochu, I would've thought it was more a rice and barley shochu than of a vegetable shochu. That doesn't mean the shochu is bad - in fact, I like the confectionery and gentle flavours of this shochu! The sweet rice syrup, the thick velvety texture... just! I did wish there was more vegetable, starchy and rooty flavours. Almost there!
