I prefer this more than the original Tsukinoka label. Perhaps it's the higher abv which reduces the "rich umami" flavors which isn't to my palette.

For one, this shochu is quite beefy in ABV! The shochu here reads differently from most imo shochu, having a different spectrum of roasted, toasted aromas and flavours. Here, it's richer, more syrupy , more molasses, tempering some of that roasted sweet potato skin flavours that tend to come from imo shochu. Interesting!
