A fantastic bottling of Caol Ila by Hart Brothers that we procured and brokered to The Emerald Room by The Swan Song. While light in terms of abv at 46%, this one came with a whole cascade of flavours that made us question the barbarians who rated this an 85 on WhiskyBase. This veers in the direction of older style Caol Ilas while at a more comfortable price point, being able to convey the more delicate peat while carrying a more elegant, citric fruit profile.
