I get more yuzu and citrus than matcha. Matcha took a backseat in this doburoku, felt a little roughness from matcha powder (?) but it transforms into a creamy Japanese green tea at the end. I'm quite conflicted on whether I love this or not, but it's definitely a unique tasting experience.

Simple and easy going, giving lots of citrus and yuzu flavour. I feel that the ricier flavours take a backseat here, instead giving texture and creaminess to the sake.

If you like yuzu, this absolutely smashes. The prominence of sweet-sour yuzu on the attack cannot be overstated, but i absolutely love how it fades into matcha on the finish. The timing and presentation of layers in this doburoku is impeccable, and the complexities of that matcha on the tail is just *chefs kiss*. Such a creative balancer to that loud yuzu at the start.
