Was asked to guess the cask blind by NakamaSpirits. Initially given the richness and concentrated fruits, it felt like a fortified wine, yet as it started to open on the nose, it began to brighten to show more honeyed qualities, with also plums and apricots, even some dried gooseberries and kiwi's, that made it seem like a Umeshu. As it finalised on brighter yellow fruits of apricots and with this distinct floral and leafy hoppiness, it felt more like an IPA. Guessed IPA and was right!
