Like an 89.8 pointer, the 43% really does reduce the sheer impact of this. This was from Ogikubo Malt Club in Japan, represented by the Elmina Malt Club at Whisky Lah 2025. For sure a worthwhile investment, as old Springbanks hold their usual Springbank cereally malty character but with so much old fruits!
Nose: straight fumey honey, light sweet malt
Palate: powerful hit, green grapes, green apples, lemons, light sherry jamminess and prunes, mild vegetal peatiness
