On the nose it's bright and evocative, with big floral notes as well as red berries and blackcurrants, just a touch of barnyard and some of that classic Coteaux Champenois cardamom spice. The palate was more immediately dry, with more of an earthiness, with the flavours darker in tone and yet the body was light.
