I've had the great pleasure of trying this twice; first when the bottle was opened by Arun and Enrico at The Malt Affair 2024, and a second time when someone was looking for an old sherry recommendation and deciding between this and the 1968 Moon Import Macallan. A spectacular old sherry. I have combined the notes from both times I tried this.
Nose: black forest cake, glazed cherries, chocolate malt, wet sponge cake, amontillado-ish sickly sweetness, rummy sherry nature
