This one was a birthday dram! A fantastic Ardbeg with extremely distinct notes, I think it would be fair to place this as a 9.09 pointer here. Very complex, the peat is a good representation of the old Ardbeg's unique peat.
Nose: savoury jasmine green tea, a hint of lemon citric, light ash peat, saltpeter and gunpowder, faint salt and iodine,
Palate: unripe banana peel, strawberry, green pear, green tea, dusty ash peat and light pepper,
