Having accessed the entire rum range of La Maison du Whisky, enough to have formed an educated, informed, opinion of what my palate likes, Providence aka Distillerie de Port-au-Prince I would absolutely recommend to a rum newcomer. Not a clairin of Haiti, Providence resides outside the spotlight as a much more traditional, double-distilled, Muller pot still rum of substantial elegance.
